Fourth rest day

A large simultaneous display on 50 boards took place on Bauman street on June 15. Children and senior players faced grandmasters Alisa Galliamova, Sergey Shipov, and Evgeny Miroshnichenko. The simul in the city centre became a big cultural and sports event, which attracted many chess fans and aroused a genuine interest of passers-by.

Alisa Galliamova won all her 10 games. Evgeny Miroshnichenko made draws with Andrey Kungurov, Sergey Vasiliev, Leonid Zlachevsky, Viacheslav Khrustov, and Oleg Ibragimov and celebrated 15 victories. Sergey Shipov won 19 games and made a draw with Valery Zakharov.

Each of the participants of the simul received diplomas and gifts from the organizers – books from the RCF Library publishing house.
A trip to the city of Bolgar, the ancient capital of Volga Bulgaria, located 190 km from Kazan, was organized. The visitors saw the ancient settlement with architectural monuments of the 13th and 14th centuries, mausoleums, the Islam Adoption Memorial Sign, and the White Mosque. They also visited the interactive archaeological Museum of Bolgar Civilization.
